ADHICS: Abu Dhabi's healthcare information security standard

The Abu Dhabi Healthcare Information and Cyber Security Standard sets the security baseline for providers handling health data.

1 min read

The Abu Dhabi Healthcare Information and Cyber Security Standard (ADHICS), issued by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, defines controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of healthcare information across the emirate's providers.

ADHICS covers governance, access control, data protection and incident response, and compliance is a condition of operating. Combined with the federal PDPL, it shapes how any system touching claims and clinical data must be built and run.

DataHub aligns with these expectations with a private workspace and database schema per organisation, role-based access with single sign-on and one-time codes, TLS in transit, encryption at rest, and an audit trail on every action.
