A denial-code playbook for DHA, DOH and MOHAP
The denial reasons UAE providers hit most, and the correction that clears each one.
1 min read
Denials cluster. Across UAE providers, a small set of reasons — eligibility and coverage, missing prior authorisation, code and bundling edits, missing observations, and timely-filing limits — account for the majority of rejected value.
This playbook groups them into those five families and, for each, names the correction that actually clears it: confirm eligibility on the service date, attach the authorisation reference, resolve the ICD-10/CPT edit, add the required observation, or escalate inside the filing window.
The point is not to memorise codes. It is to route each denial family to the right fix and the right person automatically, so your team spends its time on the handful of claims that need judgment, not on triage.
Every correction in the playbook maps to a step in the Claims Resubmission Workspace, so moving from 'why was this denied' to 'resubmitted' stays inside one screen.
