NABIDH, Riayati and DHPO: a UAE compliance map
Which platform a provider connects to depends on the emirate and the regulator — here's how they fit together.
1 min read
UAE health IT compliance splits by emirate. Dubai providers are licensed by the DHA and connect to NABIDH for clinical data exchange and to eClaimLink for claims. Abu Dhabi providers are licensed by the DOH and connect to Malaffi and Shafafiya. Northern Emirates providers fall under MOHAP and connect to Riayati.
It helps to separate the clinical and financial rails. NABIDH, Malaffi and Riayati move clinical records; DHPO (inside eClaimLink) and Shafafiya move claims and remittances. A provider typically touches both, for its emirate.
For multi-emirate groups, that is three regulators and several platforms at once. The consolidation play is a single workspace that connects to DHPO, Shafafiya and Riayati together — the integration surface DataHub is built on.
